Hendrik van Wijn werd geboren in Den Haag, Nederland op 21 juni 1740.[1]
Hendrik trouwde met:
Hendrik werd in 1802 aangesteld als archivaris van de Bataafse Republiek en als archivaris van Holland. Zijn benoeming wordt gezien als het begin van wat uiteindelijk het Nationaal Archief werd.
Hendrik stierf in 1831 in Den Haag, 91 jaar oud.[3]

Hendrik married twice:
Hendrik was appointed as archivist of the Batavian Republic and as archivist of Holland in 1802. His appointment is regarded as the beginning of what eventually became the National Archives.
Hendrik died in The Hague in 1831, at the age of 91 years.[3]
